Overview

Google Inc. is a a internet search and technology multinational corporation that develops internet-based search and cloud computing products. It was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they pursued their Ph.D. degrees at Stanford University.

Google offers online productivity and networking products such as Gmail, Orkut, and Google Buzz. It also created applications such as Google Desktop, web browser Google Chrome, Picasa, Google Talk, Android mobile phone operating system, Nexus One, Google Video and Google Earth.

Google has faced public attention and legal action for issues pertaining to privacy of personal information, intellectual property rights, and censorship.
