Roper v. Simmons (2005)

The Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments forbid imposition of the death penalty on offenders who were under the age of 18 when their crimes were committed.

Yarborough v. Alvarado (2004)

A state court considered the proper factors and reached a reasonable conclusion that minor defendant was not in custody for Miranda purposes during his police interview. The District Court's decision granting habeas relief under AEDPA is reversed.
