Robert George Seale was born on October 22, 1936 in Dallas Texas. His nickname is "Bobby." Seale is a renown American civil rights activist, and revolutionary. He, along with Huey P. Newton, co-founded the Black Panther Party for Self Defense on October 15, 1966.

Immediately following the 1968 Democratic National Convention, Seale was one of the original "Chicago Eight" defendants charged with conspiracy and inciting to riot. Seale participated in protests that occurred outside of the convention. He was sentenced to four years of imprisonment for contempt because of his outbursts. However, the judge later ordered Seale severed from this case which resulted in a "Chicago Seven."
