Julius And Ethel Rosenberg

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were the first and only American civilian spies put to death during the Cold War after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit espionage. They were charged with and convicted of passing atom bomb information to the Soviet Union of one type of bomb used on Japan in the Second World War (Fat Man).

Julius Rosenberg was an Electrical Engineer and Ethel Rosenberg was an aspiring singer and actress who ended up working a secretarial job. The couple were devoted communists.They were convicted in March 1951 and executed at the Sing Sing prison in New York in June 1953.
